I recently received a fantastic present from my sister.
It's a photography book with work from Chris McCaw called sunburn.
Great book with amazing images, a process I had never even thought of.
Do you remember melting army men with a magnifying glass as a child?
The photographs are long exposures of the sun, and sometimes the focused light inside of the camera literally burns through the film.
Chris McCaw is definitely a new favorite photographer of mine.
He has really found a way to push the medium, and I'm excited and inspired.
It may not be obvious from the photo's but when I saw last nights full moon I felt I had no choice but to get out into the night and take some pictures.
While I do want to show these off, I was really only using my digital camera to meter for film.
I hope to share the analog brothers of these soon.
