It is hard to believe that in just about a week we have gone from half a foot of snow, to 60 degrees, with daffodils blooming, and my spinach sprouting. Soon I'll be able to break out my flip flops again.
I hope I'm not jinxing myself when I say, good bye winter, you were fun, but think it's time we see other seasons.
You've hidden a lot of beauty in the bleak gray landscape, I suppose this is a toast to your last wind.
Try as I might, I simply cannot think of a way to not make this sound corny, but I just love how snow transforms the world. Shapes are softened, the gray of winter is white-washed into a beautiful and new canvas, and the bits of color hidden become jewels adorning the world. Even a few days of snow, which is usually all we get down here, is enough to make the whole of winter feel worth it.
I've been really amazed by what I have found this winter, I'll try to keep this momentum going,
