Plus, now no one has to give me any money, and just in time for christmas!
I want to thank everybody who has supported me so far, mentally and economically. You don't know how much it means. (hint: it's a lot)
Of course I’m disappointed that I didn't make my goal, but it was that high for a reason. If I was going to make a plan, why wouldn’t I shoot for something extraordinary?
But this is far from over.
I know I was doing something right, because during my funding period, my website’s traffic was up around 400% of usual traffic.
I need $5,000 less right off the bat because I’m not promising to print any books yet. (100 at $50 a piece)
I was planning on getting a new camera, but looks like Penny is coming with me to Rome, that's another $1500 saved.
I will be applying for scholarships if you know of any good ones I would love to get some links for those
I also believe the holidays are coming up. I probably don't need to remind you how much people love getting awesomely printed photographs by local photographers for Christmas.
I will be working as the darkroom assistant at UNCC, I will still make myself available in the evening and on weekends for any other photo jobs. If you know anybody who needs a photographer, you know my name you know my website. Please send them a link.
I've also gotten a lot more freedom since I won't be tied to a November/December print date. So I will probably be sneaking off to Germany sometime during my 5 weeks over in Europe.
Instead of having a separate blog for Rome, as I was promising my backers, I will just continue to add to this blog, and I'll probably just add a Rome tag.
I'll be updating my portfolio and services in the coming weeks, and I hope to add some quotes and testimonials.
If you want to send me some compliments to show on my site, please feel free to send me an email.
Thanks again for supporting me on my journeys so far.
I hope you will continue to pay attention as I kick ass and take names.
