One of my favorite pieces is not a single photograph, but instead a box that my grandfather adhered 6 different photographs to. As you can see below, it was of a mans head from all different angles. Until my uncle brought us all of the photographs, I had only seen 5 sides of this cube. The bottom side of the box had a photograph of the mans feet from bellow.
I loved the way it was lit and how the feet were so well isolated. This was all before the age of photoshop of course.
Soon after seeing it, I had a photo essay assignment in my photography class. I chose to use that 6th image of the feet as a starting point.
I've gotten mixed responses. If I recall correctly my teacher asked the class "wasn't that interesting to look at" when I finished presenting it. I hope you find it interesting to look at too.
