A little voice in my head keeps saying "push the medium."
Anyone can pick up a camera and learn to take competent photographs consistently, But I want to do more than that.
I'll quote Phillip Glass again. "If you're doing something that doesn't require a new technique, then you are probably doing something that has been done before."
I think with the exception of the Lytro, the light field camera, digital cameras are all moving towards a convergence, where most photographers will be working with a tool that creates a very similar end result.
It's important to use tools in new ways.
That's what I hope to do. That's why I made my own lens out of old cameras. That's why I've turned my printer box into a panoramic pinhole camera. That's why I spend as much time in the dark room as I spend in photoshop.
I hope you are as excited to see what I come up with as I am.
