What do thunderstorms, fresh produce, and flowers all have in common?
Summer time baby.
Yellow squash, oyster mushrooms, and garlic chives. All grown at home. It's always hard to figure out if I like food or photography more. (Just kidding, I encountered a situation earlier this summer where I put down my dinner plate and ran off into a rain soaked field, I'll share that later.)
Summer thunderstorm rolling into town. I loved the rich colors in the sky and lights. We've had flash flood warnings at least once a week. No floods yet so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Unfurling gardenias. Their sweet scent is as beautiful as their petals. I love working with those little bright spots in nature. When I find a light ray, or a bright flower, I love to juxtapose it with a deep shadowy background. A cross between studio thought, and a natural spotlight.
